Their squalane oil is my HG. I recently purchased a bottle from LotionCrafters (Neossance) that is supposedly the same thing (sugar-derived), but a bit cheaper. The Biossance sample has lasted me forever though.

I had heard this too and thought I looked into it and found it was false. But now I'm looking at their site and you can definitely get sugar derived squalane from them. I just might have to give it a try next go around.

Yep. I mention this in every thread about Biossance and/or squalane when it comes up, and I've never seen any info it's not true. Biossance and Neossance are both owned by Amyris. I have squalane from both companies (got the Biossance during their Black Friday sale) and they feel and look 100% identical.

I just recently nailed down a DIY alternative to their Vitamin C Rose Oil after a lot of tinkering, but I dont know any alternatives for their other products.

What makes this 100% squalene oil different from the Orindary's? I'm honestly curious because the price difference is so great it makes me think "expensive is better" but why? Lol

I also found the Biossance to be better. And now that the Biossance is $32 for the 3.4oz instead of $58ish, I will always purchase it over TO. Also less waste because you go through the 1 bottle of Biossance compared to 3 bottles of TO for the same volume. Price per ounce is also very similar now since Biossance came down in price. TO is $7.90 per oz and Biossance is $9.41 per oz

It's sugar cane derived and not olive! I don't know if it's necessarily better, I just know it works on my face so I'm worried about switching.

TO just says 'plant based', I believe. Timeless is olive derived

I don't know the difference but the Biossance is much better in my opinion. I used the Biossance one and then switched to the Orindary's and the difference is noticeable. Switching back to Biossance once I finish the Ordinarys. My skin honestly looked so much healthier and had a glow, it also helped even out my skin tone. I miss that. The Ordinary isn't doing much.

I tried the eye gel and while it feels amazing it didn't seem like there was much in it for the price. I'm using Laneige eye sleeping mask now and it is my hg.

I have combination skin and have been using the squalane + vitamin c rose oil and the squalane + omega repair cream. They both evened out my skin, helped maintain hydration and texture too. I like them, but not enough of a change to my skin where I love them. I've tried other products that really made more of a difference, but because I suffer from hormonal acne on my jawline and chin, I'll stick to products that don't make it worse. So I do recommend this brand if you've got combination skin.

What are some of the other products you use to help with texture and hydration? I'm really bummed out that I'm getting large pores causing the tire issues. I don't know why this is but it looks awful. I don't mind wrinkles or lines but I hate the rough texture.
